Four things separate a caption people stop for from one they scroll past.

Match the trip, not the topic. A solo trek caption and a girls trip caption should not be interchangeable. The lists below are split by trip type for exactly this reason.
Stay under about ten words. Instagram truncates after roughly 125 characters, and a good travel photo is already doing the work. Short lines also read better as Reel covers.
Name the place somewhere. Either in the caption or the location tag. It is the single easiest way to get found by people searching that destination.
Say one specific thing. "Beautiful view" is invisible. "Tea at 7,000 feet" is a photo you remember.
