Why Proper Packing Matters

First, let me explain how correct packing will save you from feeling that you need more space in your luggage. A properly packed blazer is a way to save space in your Trolley suitcase while preserving a professional and smart look every time you camouflage with it, according to the desire. The improperly packed blazers could have wrinkles, creases, or sometimes even fabric damage.

What You'll Need

In order to properly pack your blazer, you will require these items:

    • Your blazer
    • A clean, flat surface
    • Tissue paper or a plastic dry-cleaning bag
    • Your suitcase

Step-by-Step Guide to Packing Your Blazer

1. Prepare Your Blazer

My first step is always to ensure the blazer is clean and free of any stains, or bad odors. If it is necessary, you can also send it to the dry cleaner or clean it manually. This will ensure that your blazer is good to go when you reach your destination.

2. Button Up

Then, I button up the blazer. This helps the outer layer to maintain its shape while pack a bag for travel. Make sure it's not only the front buttons that are buttoned but inside ones too.

3. Turn the Blazer Inside Out

Now I turn the blazer inside out. This is the main way in which the outer fabric of the blazer is protected from potential minor damage caused by rubbing and snags by the items your suitcase will contain.

4. Fold the Shoulders

So what I do first is I put the blazer face down on a flat surface. I then gently fold the one shoulder and move it closer to the middle of the blazer. I then the same thing with the other shoulder, which then creates a direct line down the back of the jacket.

5. Fold in the Sleeves

Then, I carefully cross them over the back of the blazer between the two layers of the blazer. By doing this, I turn them into a compact rectangle.

6. Final Fold

After that, I fold the blazer in half lengthwise so as to bring the hem of the bottom up to the collar. This is the last thing that I do so that I can finally pack my product.

7. Use Tissue Paper or a Dry-Cleaning Bag

Also, I often use paper tissue and dry cleaning bags as an additional layer of protection. This not only eliminates the need for constant ironing and steaming but also ensures the fabric is smooth and flawless.

8. Place in Your Suitcase

In the end, I put the folded blazer in my Travel bags for Women. I am happy to place the jacket on top of my garment as it avoids putting any pressure on the rest of the dress items which results in little to no wrinkles occurring.

Additional Tips for Blazer Care While Traveling

The following are some of the tips I acquired over the years and excessively used to maintain the good quality of my blazer:

Hang It Up Immediately

The very first action I do when I reach the destination is the pull out and hang my blazer. This helps the small wrinkles to easily go away through the pure force of gravity alone

Use the Shower Steam Method

One of my methods to remove wrinkles in a blazer of mine that gets the sun or the steamer hung in the bathroom while the hot shower is on. The steam that comes out of the water vapor can dissipate overall skin problems.
